Taking the Long View - 9/26/23
Hello, from the West Coast! Los Angeles, to be exact, where I’m speaking on two panels in person and doing a virtual one (info on those below if you want to tune in.) I also hope to record an episode for the podcast when I’m here. Let’s pray my new equipment works as it should.
Before we get to the calendar, I need your advice/input. Last week, it felt like a lot to be doing the newsletter on Wednesday and the podcast on Thursday. Not only in terms of how much work they are, but I’m not sure people want to hear from me that much.
I was stressing this weekend because I hadn’t lined up a guest host for the show. Would that be ok? Am I overthinking it? Should I alternate weeks where one week it’s a newsletter and another week it’s the podcast? But I have so much I want to cover, so maybe I should spread it out more across the week?
I’m probably definitely overthinking it, but I could use your vote to help me think through how I balance this.
Also, I didn’t want to wait until Sunday to share the new third-quarter report on U.S. politics from Bruce Mehlman. It’s full of all sorts of goodness, including looking at AI regulation in the U.S. and abroad.
